E-safari in Tanzania

Safari operators have found new ways to differentiate products. The latest product on offer on the safari market is the low-footprint safari. Tanzania has rolled out electric 4x4 vehicles that make a safari experience not only almost noiseless, but it also significantly reduces the emissions.

The demand for clean, quiet safaris that are environmentally friendly is growing. TourismUpdate reports that travellers are happy to know that their safari trip causes the lowest possible carbon footprint.

According to the report, electric-powered eco-safaris are fast gaining popularity. The e-safari car, that is operated in the Serengeti National Park, uses solar panels to power its engine. The additional bonus is that the quiet e-cars can approach wildlife without being noticed, allowing for a better game-viewing experience overall.
