Follow the African leaders on social media

If you want to know what the ten most influential leaders are up to, you are in for a surprise. They are easy to track! ITNews Africa compiled a list of ten leaders and their Twitter handle. Some of them even have millions of followers.

The list mentions Safaricom’s Bob Collymore (Twitter Handle: @bobcollymore, followers: 576,561). Egyptian businessman and politician Naguib Sawiris (@NaguibSawiris) even has 2,4 million followers.
South Africa’s Elon Musk, founder of Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) has even more followers (3.67 million), you can find him on @elonmusk.

Rwanda’s President, Paul Kagame, has previously been described by the International Telecommunications Union as the ‘Digital President’. His Twitter handle: @PaulKagame, followed by 1.38 million people.

Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, the current President of Kenya, has 1.38 million followers on @UKenyatta. Compared to Kenyatta, Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari has ‘only’ a small number of followers: 526,814 followers. You can find him on @MBuhari.
