A court in Pudong (Shanghai) is the first in China to launch a big data robot as its assistant. It introduced a big data analytics system to help analyse large numbers of disputes.
Shanghai Daily reports that the big data system will be put to work to handle about 95,000 disputes that having been filed involving companies based in the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.
The robot system can help analyse every case and predict how much time the court will need to assign to deal with individual cases. The firms and the zone’s administration body will use the big data results to help them to decide how to proceed with disputes.
The big data analysis is described as the first of its kind in the country.
