Have you ever wondered what the name of your business destination really means in etymological terms? An Australian credit card comparison company did the fact-digging for you and came up with surprising answers. The world map with these odd ‘real’ names has gone viral on social media.

The map contains literal translations of every country name in the world into English. Studying this special map, you will find that Spain is actually called ‘Land of Many Rabbits’ and Mexico is ‘In the Navel of the Moon’. Credit Card Compare also found that Panama means ‘Place of Abundant Fish’ and Mali is ‘Hippopotamus’. Korea is ‘High and Beautiful’ and Azerbaijan is ‘Protected by Fire’.
