A warm welcome in Warsaw Airport’s upgraded terminal

Warsaw’s Chopin Airport welcomes passengers in an entirely upgraded terminal environment that includes 3,000 sq metres of shops and restaurants.

The new retail portfolio at Chopin Airport Warsaw includes 25 new stores that will have a phased opening. The brands included are Emporio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Ermenegildo Zegna and Burberry.

Passengers will also find a large Aelia Duty Free shop that sells liquor, tobacco, perfume and cosmetics. The retail mix includes a new Victoria’s Secret lingerie and accessories shop, a toyshop, an M&M’s store, and the first Samsung branded store located at a Polish airport. The new terminal also boasts an exclusive spirits and cigars area to complement a ‘Le Connoisseur’ wine tasting service.

In the food area, there is fast food (McDonald’s) as well as Italian and Polish cuisine. For steak lovers there is The Flame whereas Papaya offers fresh juice, cocktails and salads.

The total area of the new facility is over 60,000sq meters. The modernised part of the terminal houses 48 check-in desks and – in the new departures and arrivals hall – ticket offices, travel companies and new car rentals.

In a recent survey, Warsaw Chopin ranked second in Europe's most plugged-in airports list. Warsaw Chopin offers 3,000 outlets, which are available in all of its boarding zones. The need for power is shown in a recent survey conducted by Liligo/Next. The study indicated that 43% of passengers surf the Web after going through security, while 40% play games on their devices. As a result, travellers expect to be able to plug in and charge their devices before boarding.
