Ballet dancer designs Sanders’ boutique Hotel in Copenhagen

What do you get when you invite a rather famous Danish ballet dancer to design a hotel? You get Copenhagen’s first luxury boutique hotel - Sanders.

It was Danish ballet dancer Alexander Kølpin, who supplied the design ideas for the brand new hotel and also owns it. Inspired by Kølpins personal experience and travels, the Sanders breathes refined aesthetic sensibility.

You will find the Sanders in the historic center of Copenhagen, on a quiet neighborhood street behind the Royal Danish Theatre. The 54 luxurious rooms of the hotel each are singular in their style and design, combining ideas from the glamorous age of travel and the drama of the theatre. There is a lot of colonial décor, polished hardwood and rattan cane-couches in the rooms and the public areas – creating an atmosphere that is both casual and elegant.

You can book Single Coupé rooms, inspired by luxury train cabins where guests will find comfort and luxury within the intimate space. Sanders Apartments offer the utmost in privacy and are generously spacious with separate lounge seating and open fireplaces.

For food and drinks, check out The Living Room (coffee or cocktails), The Sanders Kitchen (an all-day dining spot) and The Courtyard, a green oasis in the heart of the property.
