Overhaul for Mandarin Oriental (Tokyo)

The Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo is as good as new after it has completed an extensive renovation of its guestrooms and suites. All 179 spacious guestrooms and suites have undergone a full makeover that has added lots of local culture.

According to a report by BreakingTravelNews, the renovation has added a “strong sense of place” to the hotel rooms of the renowned Tokyo business hotel.

Construction companies have combined Japanese craftmanship with the latest technology “to ensure a thoroughly contemporary experience.”

The hotel designers have chosen bespoke fabrics and furnishings representing the woodlands and the changing seasons, with autumn leaf colours of gold, orange and purple and blooming springtime wisteria and sakura patterns embroidered onto headboards.

As for the technology part, the rooms have been equipped with the latest internet protocol television, which allows for content to be viewed on both Apple and Android devices on 49-77-inch screens, offering high-quality picture and sound.
