KLM offers new lounge and inflight amenities: natural and reusable

KLM has teamed up with Marie-Stella-Maris to provide new luxury products in its Crown Lounge and business class, replacing Rituals. Marie-Stella-Maris products are made in the Netherlands and consist of a minimum of 96% natural ingredients, including shea butter, almond oil, and hazelnut oil.

Business Traveller reports that the kits were designed in partnership with Envisions, and are actually reusable bags, which passengers can use after their flight for a variety of purposes. Envisions is a Dutch firm founded by a collective of young graduates from Design Academy Eindhoven.

The lounge will now feature hand soap, hand gel, hand lotion, and face mist from Marie-Stella-Maris, while the new business class amenity kits will include face moisturizers and lip balm.

Natural ingredients

Marie-Stella-Maris is known for its commitment to natural ingredients, with products containing at least 96% natural components like shea butter, almond oil, and hazelnut oil. Additionally, the brand donates 2.5% of its sales to sustainable water projects in several countries.

According to the Business Traveller report, Marleen van de Pol, KLM’s VP of Customer Experience, emphasized the airline's focus on quality and meaningful travel experiences. This new partnership signifies a shift from the long-standing collaboration with Rituals, aiming to offer a fresh, luxurious experience to KLM's premium customers.
