New Sheraton in Los Angeles: San Gabriel

The recently opened Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel hotel shows two distinct trends in the hospitality industry: catering especially for Chinese clientele and robots that bring luggage to rooms.

The new Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel offers several amenities to lure big-spending Chinese tourists, including tea pots and slippers in each room. Concierges speak Mandarin here, the hotel features a high-end Chinese restaurant and offers communication with guests via WeChat, China’s popular messaging app. Also, eight autonomous robots from AI company Aethon can offer guests directions and deliver towels and other items (room service!) to the rooms, using GPS.

The Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel boasts a chic marble lobby and an outstanding spa. Just 10 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, the hotel invites guests to discover the historic San Gabriel region, with the Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, the Hayes House and Museum, and The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens nearby. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is 30 miles away.
