Apple’s iOS 11 adds more airport maps

One of Apple’s promises at the launch of its latest operating system iOS is slowly becoming reality. In the Apple Maps app, users will be able to access detailed maps of a growing number of airports.

Having the layout of large airports at your fingertips, in your smartphone, can be very practical. Apple has started adding details of airports in the US, such as Chicago’s O’Hare International, Chicago Midway International and Las Vegas's McCarran International airport. Baltimore–Washington International, Miami International, Minneapolis-St. Paul International, Oakland International, and Portland International are also featured.

TheVerge reports that these airports are to be featured soon: Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin (TXL, SXF), Denver (DEN), Detroit (DTW), Doha (DOH), Dubai (DXB), Geneva (GVA), Hong Kong (HKG), Houston (HOU, IAH), Indianapolis (IND), Jacksonville (JAX), London (LHR, LGW), Los Angeles (LAX, SNA), Nashville (BNA), New York (JFK, LGA), Newark (EWR), Pittsburgh (PIT), San Diego (SAN), Seattle (SEA), Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR).
