When you are planning a large conference or incentive trip, not every destination will be suitable. Sydney recently proved it can handle very large groups. It made the incentive trip for 4,000 Chinese sales people of NU Skin China a memorable – and record-breaking – event.

The $20.4 million event involved 150 tour buses and 12 five-star hotels that provided 2000 guestrooms. The five-day incentive trip included an exclusive fine dining experience on Sydney 2000, the largest boat restaurant in Sydney.

CIM Magazine reports that the 4000 participating sales people from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau broke two Guinness records. The first record involved creating the world’s largest smile mosaic out of 3633 woodblocks. Also, they broke the record of being the most people from a single corporate tour group to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The group’s itinerary also included sailing on the Sydney Harbour; a performance of Puccini’s opera, Turandot, on the harbour foreshore and visiting the beaches. Some of the group’s dining activities included dinner at City Hall, and at Sydney Olympic Park where an exclusive VIP train was arranged to take participants directly from downtown to the venue.
