If you visit London for business and prefer to stay in quiet, high-class and discrete settings, you should consider the Arts Club. This year the private members' club will add 16 hotel rooms and suites to the upper floors of its Mayfair townhouse.

Stay discretely at the Arts Club, LondonThe empty office space on the second, third and fourth floors of the Georgian building will be turned into rooms for both members and non-members. The interior design style of this Arts Club hotel will be ‘Europe in the early 20th century’, with rattlesnake leather headboards, mirror panels, polished brass, chevron parquet flooring and hand-tufted rugs.

The Arts Club was founded in 1863 to provide a haven for those people who had professional or amateur relationships with the Arts, Literature or Sciences. The club has included amongst its members many outstanding figures like Dickens, Wilkie Collins and Thomas Hughes; musicians such as Charles Halle and Liszt; artists like Millais, Rodin and Whistler.
