Buckingham hotel reopened as The Quin

The historic Buckingham hotel has just reopened as The Quin, New York's newest luxury lifestyle hotel. The hotel features 208 rooms stocked with amenities like tablets that control room settings and Nespresso machines.

Since 1929, the Buckingham Hotel attracted a slew of opera divas and jazz musicians because of its proximity to the city's finest venues for theater, music and dance. The location is the Quin is still great for business and leisure travellers: on the corner of 57th Street and 6th Avenue, in the heart of New York's cultural and shopping hub, with easy access to Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Fifth Avenue designer boutiques, museums, art galleries, Broadway theatres, concert halls, the Lincoln Center and Rockefeller Plaza.

 A nice touch for business travellers is the lobby-level Drawing Room, furnished by Apple, available 24 hours a day. In addition to the 10 seat Executive Boardroom, the Penthouse offer one of the city’s most distinctive venues for large receptions and events.  

The new hotel boasts an interesting art program: each room contains original artwork; a lobby-level gallery displays the work of select featured artists; and a 15-foot digital screen in the lobby showcases multidimensional pieces on a rotating basis.
