As an official partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Air France has announced a groundbreaking initiative to support SAF usage. The airline will match the amount of each customer subscription to the ‘Environment-sustainable aviation fuels’ option during the Games, effectively doubling the impact of customer contributions.

Customers booking travel between July 18 and September 9, 2024, to destinations in mainland France and French Polynesia will automatically participate in this initiative. Contributions made by customers will be matched by Air France, with a commitment to invest all raised funds in the purchase of sustainable aviation fuels.

Air France's ambitious decarbonization trajectory includes incorporating at least 10% sustainable aviation fuels on all flights worldwide by 2030, exceeding European incorporation mandates. The airline's commitment to sustainability extends to fleet renewal, operational measures, and partnerships to advance the use of sustainable aviation fuels.

By encouraging customer participation and investment in sustainable aviation fuels, Air France aims to accelerate its efforts towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability in the aviation industry.
