High score for Delta Air Lines in list sustainable airlines

Delta Air Lines scored high in a list of sustainable airlines that was recently published by TheTravel. In an article titled ‘These 10 Airlines Are Putting Sustainability At The Forefront (& Why It Matters)’ was mentioned as an airline that may matter to travelers that make eco-conscious decisions by booking with airlines that are striving for lower emissions and reduced waste. 

 According to TheTravel, Delta Air Lines is committing to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. “They want to minimize waste, switch to electric ground service vehicles, and work with suppliers who have similar net-zero goals.”  

 

The report continues by stating that, by the end of 2030, Delta Air Lines is planning to replace 10% of its jet fuel made from fossil fuels with sustainable aviation fuel. “They are also changing their onboard offerings to use bedding made from recycled plastics and biodegradable service products like cutlery.”
