Number 1: 484 metres, Hong Kong

The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is located in the 118-storey, 1587ft (484m) International Commerce Centre. The world's highest hotel is set on the skyscraper's top 17 floors. The property's pride is its rooftop bar Ozone.

Number 2: 492 metres, Shanghai

The Park Hyatt Shanghai takes up floors 79 to 93 of the 101-storey, 1614ft (492m) Shanghai World Financial Center. This hotel would top the list, if it offered rooms on the 101st floor.

Number 3: 442 metres, Shenzhen

The St. Regis Shenzhen is located at the top of the landmark Kingkey 100 building. This hotel occupies floors 75 to 100 of Shenzhen's 1450ft (442m) tower.

Number 4: 438 metres, Guangzhou

The Four Seasons Guangzhou Hotel resides on floors 68 to 103 within Guangzhou International Finance Center, a 103-storey, 438 metres skyscraper in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.

Number 5: 421 metres, Shanghai

The Grand Hyatt hotel is located from the 51st to 87th floors of Shanghai's 1381ft (421m) Jin Mao Tower.
